It is understood that this is the first batch of mineral concentrate transport-dedicated open-top wagons manufactured in our city.
According to the introduction, an open-top wagon is a freight car with side walls and a floor but no roof, mainly used to transport large quantities of goods such as coal, ore, timber, and steel.
Due to the high density of mineral concentrates and the complex terrain and poor road conditions in mining areas, the load-bearing capacity of open-top wagons is extremely high. It is necessary to ensure both a large unit volume load and sufficient local hardness of the vehicle body. It is understood that the side walls and floor of this new type of open-top wagon are about twice as thick as those of ordinary open-top wagons. Through optimization of the vehicle body structure, the load-carrying capacity of the vehicle has been increased by nearly one time, which can meet the special needs of mineral concentrate transportation. Currently, Changzheng Heavy Industry has signed an order agreement for 15 open-top wagons with a large domestic steel company.
