Chongqing Changzheng Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Shipbuilding Group Co., Ltd., was established in 1967. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Heavy Industry (stock code: 601989) and a large-scale professional forging and casting enterprise in Southwest China, a major supplier of railway freight cars, and a manufacturer of energy-saving and environmental protection equipment. Located in Dadukou District, Chongqing, the company covers an area of 1300 mu (approximately 86.7 hectares) and has total assets of nearly 3.2 billion yuan.
The company boasts strong technical capabilities, a full range of professional categories, and complete quality control and testing methods. It holds 201 valid patents and is a high-tech enterprise and municipal-level technology center in Chongqing. It has passed AAR, EN15085, CRCC, GB/T19001, ISO3834, and ISO/TS22163 certifications and possesses certifications from major global classification societies. The company has an annual production capacity of 5,000 railway freight cars, 600 urban rail bogies, 70,000 tons of cast steel parts, 20,000 tons of die-forged parts, 50,000 tons of free-forged parts, 50,000 tons of large steel structures, and 50,000 containers. It has produced more than 60,000 railway freight cars of four major domestic mainstream models, including open wagons, flatcars, tank cars, and covered wagons. Its subway bogies and end frames are used in the construction of urban rail transit in Chongqing, Chengdu, and other cities. Castings and forgings are widely used in large diesel engines, gearboxes, construction machinery, wind power, and shipbuilding and marine engineering. It is one of the research and production bases for ship containers, railway containers, and RoRo ship lashing and securing products in China. The company steadily promotes the development of national strategic emerging industries such as environmental protection and clean energy, and has developed various types of energy-saving and environmental protection equipment. It possesses the design and assembly capabilities for a full set of equipment in the field of organic solid waste resource utilization.
