Recently, Changzheng Heavy Industry has been granted another utility model patent for a single-slope V-shaped bevel structure for steel plate welding. So far this year, the company has obtained 7 patent authorizations, accumulating 25 utility model patents in total.
This utility model patent method solves the problems of traditional methods, such as easy welding penetration of steel plates, inability to meet the highest level of flaw detection in domestic and international standards, unstable welding quality, product qualification rate of only about 60%, and high costs. The technical solution adopted is based on the traditional machine-made bevel, retaining a section of the end face at the bottom of the bevel to naturally form a welding backing plate. Using a robotic arm for automatic welding or semi-automatic manual welding, it is very easy to melt through the weld, avoiding penetration. The product qualification rate reaches 95%, meeting the highest level of flaw detection in domestic and international standards, with stable welding quality, thus improving efficiency and reducing costs.
