“It’s done! 10 pieces per layer, all packed!” On March 10, joyful voices echoed through the No. 802 workshop of China Shipbuilding Chongqing Changzheng Forging, marking another leap in the production capacity of hinge beams. Daily forging production reached 5 pieces, and heat treatment reached 10 pieces per furnace. This is another capacity increase following the achievement of daily forging production of 4 pieces and mass production. This will effectively reduce manufacturing costs, enhance the company's market competitiveness in this product area, and secure a larger market share.
“Unite hearts, strengthen confidence.” In this hinge beam capacity improvement project, technicians and on-site operators worked together, brainstorming and closely cooperating with high spirits. Operators proposed various improvement measures; technicians continuously eliminated “waste” in the production process by optimizing tooling design. The daily forging production capacity of hinge beams increased from 2 pieces to 5 pieces; the heat treatment furnace loading also gradually increased from 4 pieces to 10 pieces. Next, the forging workshop will conduct heat treatment furnace loading tests of 15 pieces per furnace while ensuring quality, continuously improving production capacity, and laying a solid foundation for the high-quality development of the forging workshop.”
